One of the most popular attractions in Bolu, Turkey would have to be Abant Lake. IT’s about 33 KM from Bolu and is quite the site! You will see beautiful bird species and many other animals near the lake.

The lake houses a vast amount of plants. About 850 acres were designated as an official Natural Park in 1988. The main plants you will find here are larch, poplar, ash, beech, hazelnut, dog-rose, strawberries, mint, raspberries, mare’s tail, pine, and a variety of grasses and trees. You will also find a large animal species at Abant Lake due to the beautiful conditions. Pig, deer, singing birds, jackal, foxes, and bears can all be found here. The lake has an abundance of fish. You can fish in the lake and cook it for dinner in your long term stay apartment.
