DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES – The craft beer renaissance continues in DTLA with the impending debut of Barrel Down in the Financial District.
The Seventh Street beer halal comes from a five-person partnership who has consulted for multiple Downtown bars including Library Bar and Beelman’s Pub. Expect 40 taps largely American beers, a craft cocktail program and a food menu from Chef Derek de Jesus when it opens at the end of the month. Barrel Down also raised more than $20,000 on their website Kickstarter as of Feb. 10; most of the money will go to build an upstairs loft space for groups and private events.
Those who like to brew their own beer will be happy to know that Barrel Down is the future home of the Downtown Homebrewers Club.
