Downtown Los Angeles (China Town)- Far East Plaza in Chinatown is really becoming the new casual culinary hot spot to watch in Downtown Los Angeles. One of LA’s most popular ice cream shops, Scoops also known as “Cult Favorite” last Friday in the Far East Plaza shopping center in Chinatown. Chris Gere, owner of the new ice cream shop was attracted to up-and-coming Chinatown and found the space next to Chego a fantastic opportunity. The beginning of some attractive synergy has begun. Founded by Tai Kim, the original Scoops opened nine years ago at Heliotrope and Melrose near LACC. Over the years, the ice cream shop became known for its hundreds of flavors (over 700 hundred and counting).
Scoops Chinatown is located at the Far East Plaza near Broadway and Ord St. It is open from Tuesday through Saturday from 2-10pm and on Sunday’s from 1-6pm. Parking is very easy and is located on the Far East Plaza underground parking, with entry on Hill Street.
